On October 2, 2024, Deye Group (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new manufacturing base in Johor, Malaysia, marking the official commencement of construction. This event signifies a crucial milestone in the Company’s ongoing efforts to deepen its international presence and strengthen its global supply chain, carrying major strategic importance.
The new factory is located in EcoWorld Business Park II, within the Singapore-Johor Economic Zone, boasting a prime location and covering approximately 33 acres (about 200 mu). Upon completion, the facility will focus on the production of solar inverters and energy storage systems (ESS). The establishment of this new capacity will significantly enhance the Company’s ability to supply products and provide technical services to global markets, better support the needs of its international customers, and actively contribute to the global transition toward clean energy.
Mr. Zhang Hejun, Chairman of Deye Group, attended the ceremony and presided over the groundbreaking. In his remarks, he stated:
“The completion of the Johor plant will have a profound impact on Deye’s international operations. It is not only an important hub for serving regional customers and staying close to key markets, but also a strategic move to optimize our global supply chain and strengthen operational resilience. This facility will enable us to better respond to changes in the international market and inject stable, powerful Deye momentum into the development of the global green energy industry.”
Chairman Zhang also expressed his high expectations for the smooth progress of the project, wishing for the factory’s early completion and commencement of production.
During the ceremony, the Company extended heartfelt appreciation to all distinguished guests for their presence. Special thanks were given to officials from IMFC, Mr. Md Eharay Abd Majid and Mr. Mohammad Azrien Mohammad Ali, MIDA representative Mr. Mohamad Ariff Md Mohid; and to the Company’s partners from EcoWorld, UOB, JJ-LAPP, CNmy, and the construction partner, all of whom witnessed this milestone moment together.
