JJ-LAPP partners with Deye to accelerate Thailand’s renewable energy adoption

JJ-LAPP, the cable technology joint venture of diversified industrial conglomerate Jebsen & Jessen Group and LAPP Holding Asia, announced its second partnership with Deye, a leading player in the global solar inverter market, in Thailand. This partnership signifies JJ-LAPP’s commitment to driving renewable energy adoption in Thailand, offering comprehensive solar energy solutions for residential, commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. Building upon their successful collaboration in Malaysia, the latest agreement extends the availability, for the first time, of Deye’s complete range of photovoltaic (PV) solutions to Thailand and marks a significant step in the partnership.

Thailand is accelerating its clean energy transition through the National Energy Plan, as the nation aims to achieve significant climate goals— reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30-40% by 2030, reaching carbon neutrality by 2050 and net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. In line with the nation’s efforts to advance towards 100% renewable energy usage, the partnership will support Thailand’s goals and promote the use of renewable energy among the public and private sectors.

JJ-LAPP Thailand will handle the sales, distribution, and service support of Deye’s complete range of solar energy products and solutions, including solar inverters, solar air conditioners, energy storage solutions (ESS) and hybrid inverters; strengthening JJ-LAPP’s extensive portfolio and its position as a one-stop solutions provider capable of supporting a wide range of solar projects, including residential, commercial, industry and utilities. Bringing solar energy technology, investment, and expertise into the Thai market, the partnership will also help meet the growing demand for reliable and efficient renewable energy solutions and accelerate solar energy adoption in the country.

“In the face of global climate challenges, we’re committed to driving the use of renewable energy,” said Chatchai Wajakiet, General Manager of JJ-LAPP Thailand. “By integrating Deye’s advanced technology with our established network and extensive offering, we are able to make renewable energy solutions accessible for businesses and homeowners seeking to transition to sustainable energy. With this partnership, we will also collaborate with key institutions to develop a skilled workforce capable of supporting the growth of the sustainable energy market in Thailand.”

Beyond making solar energy solutions more accessible, JJ-LAPP is committed to fostering local expertise through industry collaboration. JJ-LAPP will collaborate with local technical institutes and training centres to offer specialised technical courses focused on hybrid solar and energy storage solutions, developing a pool of certified professionals to meet the market demand. Partnerships have already been inked with the Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) and the Suphan Buri Technical College (STC) to conduct the courses; with the first training in collaboration with RMUTI conducted in March with 34 attendees. The courses will be conducted throughout the year, with the next one in May in collaboration with STC.

JJ-LAPP showcased its capabilities in delivering tailored solutions and actively engaged with key stakeholders and industry players at two prominent industry events, Solar & Storage Live Thailand and Automation Expo 2025, in February and March, respectively.

Prapunt Harnchai, APAC Thailand, Consultant, Deye, added, “Deye is excited to partner with JJ-LAPP to bring our innovative solar solutions to the Thai market. We believe our technology, combined with JJ-LAPP’s expertise and customer-centric approach, will significantly accelerate the adoption of renewable energy in Thailand. This partnership underscores our commitment to providing accessible and reliable solar energy solutions that empower businesses and communities to embrace sustainability.”
